Situation

We are a cosy and small surf house at a 3min walk from the beach of Baleal. If you would like to have your own house is also possible.
Our Surf School is in front of the beach and our teachers are professional Sports teachers and have been surfing for 20years.

We are at a 3min walk from the beach of Baleal and we have 5 surf spots for all levels at our door step.
You can choose from a long beach break in front of the house that you can see from your room or terrace, or you can walk 7min, and go surf one of our best and easiest reef breaks.

Our guests are usually in between 21y and 45y old and they are looking for a quite place and lots of surf nearby the house. There are dinners in the house and barbecues but the party is usually at a 7min walk from the house.
Most times there's no need to drive to the surf spots and all amenities are within a 3min walk.

Activities

You can walk to all beach bars and clubs from the house and the one further away its at a 15min walk, if you take the longest way.
There's four restaurants at our door step and prepare your self's for falling in love with out cuisine.

Lodging

THE SURF HOUSE :
At the Surf House House you have 3 rooms, 2 double/twin and one that is shared, max of 3 people.
Sea views in some of the rooms. You have 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor.

Main floor you have a kitchen with all appliances, bathroom and living room with a big fireplace.
Outside you have a sitting area, a dinning area, barbecue and 2 hammocks.

In the Surf House we don't accept younger than 20 years old because we want to create an environment where everyone respects others space and sleep. There aren't many parties in the house because not everyone is up to it and we want people to have time to relax and feel like they are in their one beach house.
Surf house is for older than 20y/old.
Family houses are available for full rent, just ask us...

BAIA HOUSE :
You have 4 double rooms and a attic with 2 beds; sea views in some of the rooms. Each floor has a full bathroom. On the main floor theres a kitchen and a living room. Outside theres a barbecue area that is partially covered, tables and chairs to enjoy the sun.
No internet or cable Tv.
Max 10 people
You can rent the full house.

SUPER'S HOUSE :
It has 2 double rooms, 1 single room and one bed in the attic. Theres 2 bathrooms one on each floor. A big kitchen on the main level and living room. Outside there a big barbecue area with chairs and you can play basketball. Wi-fi and cable available.
This house is available for you to rent out, good for groups of 4 to 7 people.

 SEA VIEW APPARTEMENT :
This big apartment is located above the Surf shops in Baleal.
Its huge terrace with barbecue is perfect for kids to play and for you to enjoy the view.
Its for 4 people, perfect for a couple with 2 or 3 kids.
At a 1min walk form the beach of Baleal and all amenities.

The views are unbelievable and our sunset is breathtaking !
You can see the surf from your balcony. Cantinho da Baia surf spot is the most consistent in Europe.

Sport Services

If you want to learn how to surf, to improve your level, or work on your skills up to competition level, talk to us. Our Surf school has professional sport teacher's teaching you how to surf.
The main teacher Ines Tralha that has a master in surfing and is trying to add surfing as a class in our Unis; and Diogo Queimada is our 2x national champion of SUPWaves.
If you need surf guiding we can also take you to surf the best break at the right time, always thinking about your level.

THE REAL SEARCH BEGINS :
Peniche peninsula has all kind of surf breaks and is possible to surf every day all year. With more than 15 different breaks and some world class waves. Avoid crowds, surf the perfect wave when its pumping.

SURF GUIDING :
We will make sure you are at the right spot at the right time. If you don't want to surf in the crowds and no surf classes, but would like someone to share your surf moments with someone; talk to us and we will give you some surf tips too!

VIDEO ANALYSIS
Correct that bad habit. During a surf lesson or a surf guiding trip you can always count on us to film you and help you improve. We also work with advanced surfers using all our competition knowledge and experience to work out techniques and tactics in Peniche's waves.

Spots

Best season is during spring, summer and fall when swells are regular and consistent.

Winter time waves goes from 1m to 5 meters.
Summer is never flat with average conditions between 0,80m to 1,50m.

All levels. Waves goes from sandy beachbreaks to rocky points. A great surf land.
Beginners will learn easily in those conditions and advanced surfers will have a super playground of all size ans type of waves.

Surf Story

For a long time, it was the first surftrip when we were broke and we knew that Portugal was an authentic and friendly country where the quality of the waves was amazing.
Okay, the fresh water even in summer and the size of the peaks in winter did not discourage anyone as Peniche and Carrapateira, where the hollow tubes near Ericeira bring happiness.
A great European surfing country, where the level is remarkable and where we come back having the feeling we went so far away.

History

A narrow strip of land between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, highly desired by the Moors and the Castile Kingdom, the Portuguese territory was built throughout the centuries.
As soon as the 15th century, during the discovery era, the country found its expansion.
From its conquests to the colonization will be emerging a unique culture which can be found nowadays in the wealthy architectures, monuments and museums.
Not a lot of countries have so many cultural beauty spots of the world heritage classified by the UNESCO.

Geography

Located on the Atlantic front of the Iberian Peninsula, in the West of Spain, Portugal is one of the smallest European countries : it is expanding 560 km from North to South and only 220 km from East to West.

It only has an earthly frontier : Spain.The Tage which is running from Northeast to Southwest and flowing into the Atlantic in Lisbon divides the country in two parts.A mountainous chain, the Serra da Estrela is the highest point in Torre (1993 m).
The North and the Centre are the most populated regions. The low plateau of Alentejo in the South of the Tage, is extending back to back to the mountainous spur of Algarve.
Vineyards, corn, potato and rye prevail in the North whereas the regions of the Centre and the South, more arid, are dedicated to the olive-tree, the cork-oak, the orange-tree, the fig-tree and the almond-tree – stunning in spring when the trees are in blossom.
